Albourne is excited to announce that Michael Hamer, Partner & Senior Hedge Fund IDD Analyst, has been honored with the ‘Outstanding Contributor of the Year’ award by the editors of Insurance Insider ILS.
Over the past two decades, Michael has advised investors on deployment within the Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) space, while Albourne’s resource commitment to insurance has helped sustain sector-wide coverage and analysis.
Michael and his team have been key in the development of financial reporting frameworks for the ILS market. This includes the Insurance Open Protocol, developed through the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI) industry group.
His work with the SBAI also extends to standard-setting work on ILS valuations, side-pocketing guidelines, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing consistency in ILS disclosures. These efforts have empowered investors to make more informed decisions and help to lift transparency within the asset class.
